The EOD Memorial Wall is a memorial to fallen EOD technicians who lost their lives in the line of duty. It is located in Niceville, FL 32578. It contains names dating back to World War II. Four bronze tablets contain the names of the fallen EOD warriors. Every year, the EOD Memorial Ceremony is held on the first Saturday in May.

Each year, the EOD Memorial adds a new name to its wall, including Coast Guardsman Lt. Thomas Crotty, who died in World War II in the Philippines. His body was reinterred in a New York City cemetery. The family wanted to pay homage to their fallen brother. The ceremony also adds Sgt. James Johnston and Petty Officer 2nd Class James Devenny to the list of fallen heroes. The family wants to honor their fallen hero and pay tribute to his sacrifice.

The EOD Memorial is open to the public. Families and EOD technicians alike gathered at the Wall for pictures and to touch the brass names of fallen heroes. During the ceremonies, families and EOD technicians from all branches of the armed forces paid tribute to the fallen heroes. The dedication and honor of the EOD Memorial is a tribute to the men and women who served in the armed forces.

Every year, the EOD Memorial holds a memorial service to honor fallen EOD technicians. The service takes place at the Kauffman EOD Training Complex. This year, the memorial is being held at the same location as in previous years. Last year’s memorial was canceled because of COVID-19. The list of fallen soldiers at the EOD Memorial continues to grow. There are now six more names on the list. They represent different branches and eras. Two of the men being honored were killed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. One of them, Navy Chief EOD Tech Jason Finan, was killed in Iraq on Oct. 20, while the other, Army Sgt. 1st Class Biddle Izard, was killed in Vietnam in 1968.

The EOD Memorial was built with the help of donations from the local community. The foundation is dedicated to honoring fallen EOD warriors. The EOD Memorial Challenge is organized by the EOD Warrior Foundation. It is held at the NAVSCOLEOD Quarterdeck. Participants carry the name of an EOD tech on the EOD Memorial Wall. Pictures and stories of fallen EOD techs will line the pathway throughout the course. The EOD Memorial Challenge is a unique opportunity for service members to honor their fallen comrades and raise EOD awareness.
